It’s got some features that I like but anyhow, I managed to move some of my previous posts with images and some translations….basically anything NatShiz/Mai Hime related made it over to the other site.

Although there is no doubt that by the time I get to the 2nd or 3rd page of translations, MakiMaki will most likely complete their translations for that chapter LOL!

I’m currently working on a new original comic that will be released soon.

The official launch date will be some time next week but I should have a solid date in a couple days. It will hosted on a separate blog site located at: http://lwolf.squarespace.com/

Anyhow the title is, “Renaissance Gal” and you can find out more at the website. I explained a little what the premise is but I’ll add that here as well.

Here’s an excerpt of one of my posts at the RG site:

“…The new story is entitled, “Renaissance Gal” and it takes place in the post-apocalyptic setting of New York. Join the artist, Harris as she roams through the streets of New York and encounters many walks of life all with her trusty cafe racer bike, sketch pad and electric guitar. She will  have a role in providing some assistants to people’s dilemmas….all the while she tries to find the girl that captured her heart 2 years ago and fulfill a promise.

Yup…soon.  I’ll keep you posted! In the meantime I’m adding some links to the companies I’m currently working with. I’m hoping someday I can also turn “Renaissance Gal” into a video game. But we also have a vague idea of creating a “Making of a Band” type of game with 4 girls…at least that’s my idea for now…we’ll have to see how our initial sales for the and timeline is for the up and coming Project(s)

And don’t worry…I’m still doing NatShiz stuff…can’t ignore that, right? But I’ll have to concentrate more on my “real life” work and cliental in the meantime. I do promise to get something out soon though. Hang on tight!

EDIT: (3:44pm – Pacific Time) I think I found a blog site that I really like and has a few more features than this WordPress site. Once I’ve made the current transition, I’ll just freely post the link.

This wordpress site is sometimes annoying. I mean it’s got it’s Pro’s and Con’s but I’m still limited on certain things LOL.

Anyhow, I plan to export ALL of the wordpress posts over to the new site (well hopefully) that way no one misses a thing. Again, I’ll keep you posted and send you over to the new site when the link is ready.

Let’s just say it’s an unexpected piece of data that I didn’t encounter yet….I really must keep reading but here’s what I have so far:

Chapter 6 (page 1 and as few sentences from page 2 – from tankoban)

“Excuse me for being late.”

When Tennoji Shion entered the council meeting, that place had already been wrapped in a strange atmosphere. Hinagiku Tomoe was tied by a rope to the wall. Every one of the student council member’s faces turned pale and it wasn’t unusual. Is this how it would be done? It was possible to capture Tomoe, who was the leader of Suzaku party, as for the case, although it was settled, it was a similar expectation.

Shion finds the face of beautiful black jewel, Natsuki, about to speak. (Okay this translation was weird because 玖 Seemed too archaic for my level of comprehension.)

“What is it?”

“Shion? I was misinformed. The head of the Suzaku-party wasn’t Hinagiku. It’s Akane…….Higurashi  Akane.”

“Huh?”

When she was attacked by Tomoe in the mist of the  fog, Shion recalled the appearance of the second year student who ran. A gentle person who wouldn’t even kill an insect……

Even Shion thought so.

One could easily imagine the size of shock that the upper-classman, Natsuki received

 (NOTE: In other words, everyone in the room was shocked by Natsuki’s discovery)

“The Spaghetti Western with no Name” – Just as the title explains. I basically put Natsuki into the role of “Clint Eastwood”  (remember Eastwood is my hero) while still leaving her persona intact. Ummm…page 4 is in Nihongo but I added the translaton on a different text file. Page 4 basically mimics a scene from the show “Friends” where Monica (during a flashback) invites Joey for some “Lemonade” *chuckles*…although I am not sure how to properly convey this scene in Nihongo so hopefully it makes sense ^_^;;;;;

“Escaping the Darkness” – This one was spawned after reading the book “Midnight Express” about a man falsely accused and sent to a Turkish prison. Except that my story is post-apocalyptic and with an element of “Mad-Max” Hahahaha!

“Confessions” – (LOL This one is old…it looks like utter crap) This was based on my idea of what occurred during Shizuru’s graduation. Well the proof is in the Mai Hime Animation Book Volume 2. Just turn to page 25 and read the last paragraph in Shizuru’s profile

So I came across this particular fanfic on FF.net. I overlooked the authors notes in the very beginning and began reading. Most of the time, I read through author’s notes AFTER I’ve finished the chapter. Perhaps I should have done that first. Then I wouldn’t have wasted my time on such filth.

I left this review for the person that calls himself “Warp Ligia Obscura“…AKA Warpobsura on Animesuki:

“Oh dear…this was indeed painful to read.

Are you trying to alienate readers around the world by adding in jargon that most native english speakers are oblivious to? If you’re going to add elements of your native land couldn’t you have done this on a fanfiction site that caters to Singapore?Yes, I took the liberty to visit your profile on your LJ out of curiousity – all I found was a location and plenty of rubbish.

I showed this to a couple friends and well…let’s just say that my comments are “candy” compared to the crudeness that came out of their orifaces.

And how do you explain the ridiculous name changes? You are trying so very hard to be original and prove that you are not an empty vessel but all you’ve managed to accomplish was turn readers away. It explains why you only have 7 reviewers…make that 8 since I just added my two cents (woohoo).

Anyhow, for painful amusement you could read this chapter but I MUST warn you….after I read his ‘Author’s Note’ I felt nothing but my breakfast slowly crawling it’s way up my Esophagus. His exact words were, “Contains homophobic opinions that may or may not be a reflection of the author’s tastes.”

And please…FF.net utilizes the english language…..not Singlish.

Meh, just stay away from his ludicrous piece of filth. He’s really not worth the extra “two cents” but if people want to add to my insulting review, by all means, どうぞ…

Seriously…someone should create the “Fanfiction Police” for all the crap that’s posted in the Mai Hime Section of Fanfiction.net. There are a few gems there but the rest are crap. And how many stories do we have to read with “Shizuru going away and Natsuki chasing after her”….um hello?” IT”S BEEN DONE TO DEATH!!!!

Why don’t you check out, “All With Good Intentions” by Kieli and “Evolution” by Vilkacis. These are a few of those rare gems I was talking about not to mention a couple of the pioneers for Natshiz fanfiction….I mean examine the dates when those were written! During the initial height of the series.

Other well-constructed and very original fics that I also consider gems that fall along a canon or AU setting would be, “Passages” by EA Simpson, “Inter Nos”, by Ethnewinter, “In May” by inpassing, “The Chase” by Paxbanana (is she still alive btw?), “Dents in Her Armor” by Starving Lunatic and a few others that will be easy to notice amongst the muck of poorly written stories.

If you want pure, nicely drafted smut, then I recommend Leebot’s, “What Dreams May Come” and his sequel entitled, “Perchance to Dream.”

Yes, yes…I’ve ranted about this before I think…but let’s just say I’m revisiting the topic.

Anyhow, choose your fiction wisely, I guess. And don’t succumb to anything on FFnet that contains poor grammar, spelling errors and…well…basically the “lack” of general knowledge of the english language LOL. Plus research…ALWAYS do your research. You know, the internet used to be referred to as the “Information Superhighway.” Since it’s at your fingertips why not utilize the vast amount of knowledge that’s out there? You say it’s difficult to find? Please, you’re just not trying hard enough…or maybe not trying at all.

Most of the new NatShiz fanfic authors seem to think that if it contains the subject matter that people are interested in, then that alone should make up for the errors. *shakes head – how naive*.

EDIT: WOW! They used the Ting Ting’s “Shut Up and Let Me Go” for the newest IPod commercial. Damn I just went to the Itunes store and purchased it. -_-;;

…This is result of having such a lousy day that started out in a heated argument between one of my sisters. This particular sister, I’ve already disowned about 7 months ago….She’s dead to me. Anyhow she came by to pick something up but then she just had to act like a smart-ass. I tried ignoring her but she ended up bringing something that really hit home. So what did I do? I smacked her…well to be technical, I slapped her in the face but then she slapped me right back and then there was some hair pulling….and object throwing. Now I’ve got a scratch on my chin Hahahaha! Damn her.

My sisters and myself have been previously compared to the “Minami” sisters but we’re much worse than that. And…I was never a banchou, by the way….but I did play varsity volleyball LOL XD. Anyway, this isn’t nearly as bad as when my youngest sister (who is Chiaki’s equivalent) and the other sister (who we will call “Kana”) get into their little fights…well…”little” is an understatement. They get into full blown fist fights and in the past I had to “TRY” to be the mediator. Me a ‘mediator??? Pffff…..

LOL, I do recall our youthful days when we used to give each other bloody noses. Though my second youngest sister (Kana – the one I had a fight with today), wasn’t this horrid in the past. In fact at one point of her life, she was actually quite responsible and level-headed. Back then we were not sure what caused the personality change but then my youngest sister (Chiaki) mentioned an incident that occurred MANY, MANY years ago. When both of these brats were just mere children, “Chiaki” swung an aluminum bat right onto “Kana’s” head….we’re speculating that this is what altered “Kana’s” personality….again this is JUST speculation.

Well anyhow, the rough part of the day had passed and my brother came over. He uses my place as a midpoint to where his bandmates or friends can meet up with him and he can just carpool to a gig. I would like to say that he’s the normal one in the family but having come back from doing a Music Tour in the middle east, he came back looking like Charles Manson….buwahahahahaha! I like his current look though. I think he should keep it…however with my youngest sister’s wedding coming up in July, she’s certainly going to coerce him into shaving off his scraggly beard. I hope he at least keeps his fro….it’s just too cool and very “musician-like”.

My mother despises his look Hahaha….poor mother….she hates that fact that the both of us (my little brother and I) are the only bohemians in the family. Well…we’re the only ones in the family that chose to follow our dreams of pursuing the arts back in college while everyone else pursued either the medical field or engineering…..get over it Mother! Nah….it’s not so bad actually. Over the past 15 years she’s slowly accepted our career choices though once in awhile she’ll give me a ring and nag about it. XD

So going back to the “Nao-Death” illustration…I needed to do this in order to vent. Plus someone had the nerve to ‘jokingly’ send me a link to a ShizNao fic under the false pretenses that it was NatShiz….I hate when this happens. But remember, if you choose to send me these fics, it just causes me to create another death scenario for that bitch. And anyway, who cares if I do, correct? Portraying the death of a FICTIONAL character is a lot safer than killing an actual person….especially if the fictional character (IMO) reminds you of a person that is the epitomy of atrocious home-wreckers.

*sigh*….I guess enough venting and back to work.

So my 舞-HiME★DESTINY DRAMA CD # 3 finally came today…actually yesterday but I wasn’t around when it arrived so FedEx held it for another day.

Anyway, here I am at home, working on a couple illustrations for work and I decide that I may just listen to a track or two. So which track did I go for? Track 9 LOL….in the mist of the confrontational build up between Mai and Kanzaki Rei, who is the Gakuencho, Mai ends up calling upon Natsuki and Co. which included Shizuru.

Shizuru’s declaration of love for Natsuki and saving her really shut up the whole entire group of people that were present including the riveting fighting background music that was playing Hahahahaha! Haruka and Nao were not surprised of the news *snickers*. And then fighting resumes again LMAO!!!

Natsuki is shocked but later on ends up protecting her woman as does Shizuru….it’s so cute when Shizuru worriedly yells out, ”なつき危ない！”(“Natsuki watch out!”)….Shizuru gets hit (but not seriously) though Natsuki is still worried, yells out to Shizuru and runs to her aid to assist her…..awwwwwww!

Okay…now I have to listen to the rest of the drama CD LOL! Hopefully after I can finish up these two projects. I also desperately want to listen to the “cake/party” track (#12) where Shizuru is feeding her hahahaha!

Anyway….before I run into even more distractions, I’m back to work. See, this is one of the minor dilemmas when you decide to “work” at home LOL.

By the way….I spoke with our Executive Producer and brought up a particular genre that our company can possibly work on. Right now we’re working on a ‘Hetero’ dating sim but I asked him if we could work on a “Yuri” dating sim after the first initial product.

Since it’s an untapped market (aside from Strawberry Panic) he agreed that we should target that market as well. I mean it’s not really fair that there are YAOI games out there and hardly any Yuri, correct?

Now mind you, when I say “Yuri” I mean “adult” game…so yes this would be a game for 18 and over so it’s directly for PC gamers. However, we WILL be working on a PS2 version of the game as well and if you are not aware of this already, the PS2 console does not cater to Ero games….so in other words, we’d be making a “cleaner” version of each game.

So my question is, if we create this “Yuri” game, would you actually buy this? I brought this up to my excecutive producer in faith that “Girls Love” fans would appreciate this and invest into this. The last thing we need is for only a few people to buy into this and make pirated copies for their friends…..yeah that would definitely put us out of business LOL!

So if you can, please support us when the time comes. ^_^…like I said earlier, we’ll have a “cleaner” version of the game as well for the PS2 “Girls’ Love” genre (sorry in japan the term “Shoujo-ai”) isn’t used in anime/game consumer shops hahaha!)

Oh yeah…before I end this post. I would just like to bring up a person who I used to respect….and hell….to think that I helped him get a job at Bandai LOL….well he’s now become a “Sell Out” so I don’t have much respect for this dweeb. Yeah he’s part of the Bandai rant I posted a few weeks before I went to Japan. He’s the one who’s knee caps I wanted to kick and probably should have for being such a “Typical” man….however now…he’s become a “YES” man. Sooo disappointing.

I used to work with this guy back when I worked for this Video Game publisher named “Crave Entertainment”…he seemed like a decent guy who would stand up for himself…this was my impression the first few months that I knew him but in the end he was like the rest of the guys there….he talked a big game but also showed no results….instead he ended leaving the company. So instead of making a difference and letting his voice be heard, he was like the rest of the guys who had no spine and would just complain behind the scenes.

Yeah he’s Da Man alright LOL. Plus he has no respect for asian culture as he constantly pokes fun of us. He seems to be racist too. I also worked at Mattel with this guy and he once refused to eat lunch with us because it was a “Cuban” restaurant!!!

*sigh*….sorry folks I had to get that off my chest. Anyhow here’s the deal….

…..I’m migrating to another blog site but I’ll just leave this blog site for Bandai to check out as I post weekly rants about some of the people there hahahaha!

I won’t provide the link here but I will provide a NatShiz question. Now none of the IT department are NatShiz fans so it’s not like they’ll comprehend the question. So once you have the answer to the question, just email with the answer….because only a NatShiz follower would know ^_-

In my previous post about my Japan trip, I forgot to mention that I picked up volumes of the publication キャラの！(Or “Charano” for the nihongo challenged)

I haven’t read through them yet but once I do, at the very least, I’ll provide a summary of what occurs after chapter 6.　This also means that I’ll wait until I’ve read the final chapter before I update my doujinshi based on Mai Hime Destiny. I’d like to be as accurate as possible.

On Animesuki, I made the announcement that Mai Hime Destiny ended with chapter 12 in the Volume 9, 2008 edition of “Charano” which features on the cover: Mayo, Rena, Shion, Sifr and Elliot. Besides the last chapter it advertises the 3rd Drama CD for Mai Hime Destiny which comes out this month on the 16th.

I’ve already placed my order a few days ago w00t!

So to reiterate what I had mentioned on Animesuki, there are a total of 12 chapters in Mai Hime Destiny. I’ll keep you posted with more info as it comes.

By the way…I love when Shizuru is feeding Natsuki….and Natsuki doesn’t really object. ^_-
